■白い素材を伝え楽しむ器「ciro」■
白い素材は在った。そこから時が流れ様々が堆積し土となり白さは埋もれた。時は過ぎ、いつの頃か、なぜなのか、人は土に白さを見つけ、精製し白い素材は再び現れた。足元に在るのに気づけない、その美しさを身近な道具とし、個性を伝え、楽しむ器として「ciro（しろ）」は誕生しました。
■三つの“白”の表情■
土としての白、ガラスコーティングとしての白、絵具としての白。
この器では白を三つの手法で表現しています。
■釉薬銅板について■
明治期より使われる伝統の銅板転写技法に使用する絵具に硝子分を調合し、絵柄に光沢や凹凸wp生み出し絵付けする事で、触れて心地よい質感となります。
【ソギスジ柄】
やきものの装飾技法の一つ「削ぎ（そぎ）」。
専用に作ったカンナを使って土を掘り削り表面に凹凸をつける、その中でも縦に削ぎ落したものはストライプパターンのように親近感を感じる。
■カップが3サイズある意味■
ciroシリーズのカップには3つのサイズがあります。
しかし、基本的には“カップM”サイズがあれば暮らしの大半はこと足りると思います。
それくらいMサイズは持ち易さや容量を意識してデザインしました。しかし、あえてSサイズとLサイズを作り3サイズで展開しました。
それは創造的なライフスタイルのために……。暮らしの中心のMサイズと、暮らしの幅を広げるSサイズLサイズ。
【暮らしの定番】カップM
