Description
| Nara [Walnut Tree] Yukiko Ishimura has encountered some of the vessels so far. Some of them are introduced with their episodes. The store is a café and general merchandise store in Nara [Kurumi no Ki], which has been ahead of its time and has been practicing this style for 40 years before the word "lifestyle store" or the concept of a lifestyle store was even invented. The food and sundries handled at the store, which has many fans visiting from outside the prefecture, have been carefully selected by Yukiko Ishimura, the representative of the shop. Ishimura says that the most important and important part of her business is her vessels. In this book, Ishimura introduces some of the vessels she has encountered from her teenage years to the present day in five chapters. When he was a teenager, his aunt, who ran an inn in Tokyo, took him to the Nogi Shrine antique flea market, where he purchased his first white porcelain and blue porcelain. The vessels that can be said to be the starting point of Ishimura's career. Ishimura values Chinese tea utensils and the time spent chatting with others, so we offer tea bowls, teacups, glasses, and cups that accompany the time spent talking with others. There are many artists whom I respect, trust, and love, including Ryuji Mitani, who is a "special artist for me," and Kazumi Tsuji, whom I read an article about by chance and went to see because I really wanted to go see him. Utsuwa. Chinese and Korean antiques that I acquired during my travels, as well as vessels by contemporary Korean artists with a modern appearance. The last chapter will show you some of the works by artists who have spent time in Japan. In the last section, we introduce vessels by artists younger than Ishimura that we would like to grow up with. I first visited artists whom I admired, and then I was influenced by them through exchanges with artists close to my age, and recently, I have collected many vessels while discovering and being surprised by young artists. Each of them is a story of a lifetime encounter with vessels that Ishimura came across by fate and that have delighted his eyes. |
