It is painted by pounding it repeatedly in a wooden pattern, changing the pattern and color. The tassels are also hand-dyed and hand-joined by hand. It is said that the arabesque pattern was introduced to Japan from Persia via the Silk Road, but the exotic paisley pattern has a nostalgic retro atmosphere and blends well with any interior. ペルシャ更紗（ガラムカール）は、イラン伝統の更紗（さらさ）布。型をかえ、色をかえて何度も木型でどんどんと叩いて絵付けします。房の部分も手で寄り合わせたオールハンドメイドでたいへん手間暇が掛けられている手染め布です。唐草模様はペルシャからシルクロードを伝って日本に伝来したと言われますが、エキゾチックなペイズリー柄はどことなく懐かしいレトロな雰囲気も持っていて思いのほか、どんなインテリアにも良く馴染みます。テーブルクロス、ベッドカバー等にどうぞ、これ一枚でお部屋の印象がぐっと素敵になります。
