Description
Edited by Kimihide Atsumi, Yoshihiro Seki, Hironori Yamaguchi / Written by Kenta Koki, Nozomi Gomi, Jun Takezawa, Hiroko Takezawa It has been 20 years since the recovery, not reconstruction, not community building, but the recovery and creation of everyday life. Twenty years after the Chuetsu Earthquake that struck Niigata Prefecture on October 23, 2004, the research*practice*educational activities undertaken in the Shiotani community of Ojiya City, Niigata Prefecture, reflect the community's [reconstruction]. The film demonstrates that disaster recovery is a long-term effort rooted in the lives of individual residents, and follows the footsteps of a community that suffered serious depopulation and aging as a result of the disaster, which has rebuilt a vibrant lifestyle by accepting outsiders while cherishing its ancient culture and traditions. |
