Description
| The moment you open the seal, you can smell the faint scent of Japanese cypress. Hinoki, which has long been used as a wood for building temples and shrines, is made into a wooden postcard and printed with ukiyoe, an art form that is the pride of Japan and was depicted for the enjoyment of the common people in the Edo period. Since it is made from real wood, the grain, texture and fragrance are those of the wood itself. It is specially processed so that it can be sliced and used like paper, so it is not bulky. Made from thinned Japanese cypress wood, contributing to the promotion of recycling in Japan's forests. This is an environmentally friendly recommended product. It can be easily enjoyed by attaching it to the wall with pushpins or displaying it in a photo stand. It can be used not only as a postcard, but also as an interior accent. It is also recommended as a souvenir for people overseas. Utagawa Hiroshige was one of the most famous ukiyoe artists of the Edo period and had a great influence on European impressionists and Art *Nouveau artists. This is a selection of "Eitai-bashi Tsukudo-shima" from the series "Meisho Edo hyakkei" (One hundred Famous Views of Edo), which depicts famous places and people's lives in Edo. *We are also developing [natural wood stickers] with the same work. Please see also here. *Please contact us for large orders. Sustainable |
