Description
Kutani Yaki incense burners are ceramic incense vessels painted with various techniques using Kutani Gosai. In addition to burning incense and enjoying its fragrance, the beautiful incense burner itself can also be used as a decoration like a vase or a figurine to add color to a space. They are also very popular as ornamental items, gifts, and souvenirs to be sent overseas. Japanese Traditional Crafts [Kutani Ware] No. 3.2 Mame Incense Burner, Blue Grain Cherry Blossom (K9-1469) [Aochibu-style] This technique became popular during the Taisho era (1912-1926). This is a sharkskin-like technique in which fine dots called "ao-grains" and "shiro-grains" are arranged on the base color. High skill is required to make the size, color, and spacing of the blue grains uniform. In addition to blue grains and white grains, there are also gold grains. Material: Porcelain Author Kiln Name:.
