[They are decorated with wishes such as "bringing many customers," "prosperous business," "good fortune," "good luck," and "protection against illness. The right hand raised is believed to bring money, and the left hand raised is believed to invite people (customers), and is often chosen as an auspicious gift to celebrate the opening of a new store, a new house, or longevity. Japanese traditional crafts [Kutani ware] No.6 Praying Cat, Pink Mori (K9-1616) [Mori-style] *(Mori-style) This overglaze enameling technique is often seen on ornaments such as lions and beckoning cats. It is a bold and dynamic technique characterized by a three-dimensional pattern heaped up using special paints. It is also called [deco-mori] because the heaping up is uneven.
