Kutani-yaki, a traditional craft recognized by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, celebrates 360 years since the opening of the Kutani kiln. Kutani-yaki was exhibited at the Paris World Exposition and became famous throughout the world as Japan Kutani, and has been collected by famous museums around the world, including the British Museum and the Louvre. Japanese Traditional Crafts [Kutani Ware] No. 12.5 Kasei, Colored Glaze, Masahiko Tokuda, Yajyukichi III (K9-2080)

[Saiyu-style: A technique in which the entire surface of a vessel is filled with brightly colored glaze using Kutani five-color glazes. By applying multiple coats of glaze, the color changes in stages, creating a fantastic atmosphere characterized by graceful colors and shades of gray. This technique was established by the late living national treasure, Tokuda Yajukichi III.
