| [GARYU] Takaoka City in Toyama Prefecture is a casting town that has been in existence for over 400 years since the Edo period. Nakamura Seisakusho, one of the many local factories, excels in lost wax casting technology that can produce detailed and intricate expressions, and casting dragons with beautiful scale patterns has long been one of its specialties. The dragons were lying dormant in the warehouse of such a small factory. The GARYU series is a modern revival of about 50 different dragon casts created by the late lost-wax mold prototype maker *Gekiho Suga*. *Wax mold prototype maker, the late Mr. Tsukuyoshi Suga Born in 1935, his grandfather was a wax mold cast maker, Tsukinaso Matsu I (real name: Suga Inazatoshi), who inherited his techniques for three generations and produced a wide variety of wax mold castings. *About Nakamura Seisakusho Nakamura Seisakusho is located in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, a town of cast metal*, and has been producing expressive metal crafts using the exquisite lost-wax process, while inheriting a casting tradition that has continued for more than 400 years. 江戸時代から400年以上続く鋳物の町、富山県高岡市。数ある町工場の一つである中村製作所は、細かくて複雑な表現ができるロストワックス鋳造技術が強みで、鱗模様が美しい龍の鋳物も昔からの得意分野でした。そんな町工場の倉庫に眠っていた龍。蝋型原型師の故・須賀月芳先生* が制作した約50種類にも及ぶ龍の鋳型を現代に蘇らせたのが「GARYU」シリーズです。
