Description
It's fun to be different! Your [big] may be someone else's [small One day, an ant found a balloon. When he inflated it, it became [big]! But to Mio, a human, it still seems [small]? With easy-to-understand dialogues and cute illustrations, the story shows how the same thing can be seen in different ways depending on the position from which you look at it, and the importance of recognizing each other's differences. Comment from the editor: "To an ant, a big balloon may look like a [small] balloon, but to a human being, it is not. What is a big balloon to an ant is still small to a human being. And even humans are only fragments in the vastness of the universe. The small world and the big world may seem different, but they are all connected within a single universe. This work expresses the hope that children will naturally feel the importance of "diversity" and "symbiosis," of living together while learning about the differences in viewpoints and recognizing each other. It is perfect for reading to children from the age of 0 and up. For adults, it will make them stop and realize that there are many different perspectives on things. *Appropriate age range: from about 0 years old About the Author N*To Born in Tokyo. Grew up in Shinagawa*Ota Ward, and spent time in Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture from the second year of junior high school. After a long career in the film industry, she decided to pursue a career in childcare after watching a documentary program on child poverty. After graduating from Bunkyo Gakuin University, she began her creative work while working as a childcare worker. After serializing one-panel cartoons in "Mirai e (Toward the Future)," a newsletter of the Japan Federation of Publication Workers' Associations' Committee on Nuclear Power Plant Issues, this is her first picture book publication. While interacting with children on a daily basis, she came to believe wholeheartedly that all children have the right to live happily. Her dream is to create a warm and peaceful world where children can live freely and in peace. |
