| Hand-painted plate with a traditional pattern made in Kütahya, the center of the Turkish pottery industry*. The design depicts a sailing ship setting sail for the Venetian Empire from Çanakkale, a port in western Anatolia, in the late Ottoman period. They were popular as trading goods to Europe.
