| *As an instrument The Vajra Bell Gantar is a typical Tibetan esoteric Buddhist instrument. When held in the hand and shaken, it produces a powerful bell sound, and when the attached stick is used to rub the edge of the bell, it produces a soothing high tone. These high notes contain the same overtones as singing bowls, so it can be used not only as a musical instrument, but also for meditation and healing. *Also used in Tibetan Buddhist rituals. During rituals, the vajra is held in the right hand and the vajra bell in the left. The vajra symbolizes the masculine principle of [the power to save others] *the vajra bell symbolizes the feminine principle of [wisdom (truth)], and to hold both of them is thought to signify their union. チベットの代表的な密教仏具である金剛鈴ガンターです。手に持って振ると力強いベルの音が響きわたり、また付属の棒でふちをこすると心洗われるような高音が鳴り響きます。この高音にはシンギングボウルと同じ倍音が入っていますので、楽器としてはもちろん、瞑想やヒーリングにもお使いいただけます。

儀式の時には、右手に金剛杵、左手に金剛鈴を持ちます。金剛杵は男性原理である「方便（他者を救済する力）」・金剛鈴は女性原理の「智恵（真理）」を象徴し、その両方を手にすることは、それらの合一を意味すると考えられています。神秘的なデザインが美術品としても価値ある一品です。
