| *Indian Mystery Bento Box [This mysterious Indian lunch box is said to be "leak-proof" even when filled with curry. It is used to put rice, naan, chapatti, curry, stir-fried food, etc. in order from the top. This lunch box closes quite tightly and has an inner lid, so it is very leak-proof. In Tirakita's experiments, when we filled it with water and held it upside down, a few drops would drip at first, but then it stopped leaking altogether. I think that the water vapor acts as a seal. 「カレーなどを入れても漏れない」といわれるインドの不思議な弁当箱。上から順々にご飯や、ナン、チャパティ、カレー、炒め物などを入れて使用します。
この弁当箱は結構しっかりと閉まり、中蓋もついていますので、相当漏れづらく出来ています。
ティラキタの実験では、水を入れてさかさまにすると最初は少し雫が垂れますが、その後まったく漏れなくなりました。水蒸気がシールの代わりになるのだと思います。ただ、日本の製品のようにパッキンでシールされているわけではありませんので、完璧ではありません。汁物を入れる前に一度実験してからお使いください。
