Description
| This tea is from a cooperative that received the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award. Ichiban-cha is the first tea picked in the year, and is characterized by its strong sweetness, low astringency, rich flavor, and fresh aroma. The tea leaves are grown in Chiran-cho, Minami-Kyushu City, Kagoshima Prefecture, which is known as one of the best tea-producing areas in Japan, by tea trees nurtured by the bright sun and land unique to the tropics and thoroughly managed by the Otonadake Tea Production Association, which has twice won the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award. The tea has a particular color, taste, and aroma. |
