| A playful incense holder shaped like a banana. Its deep black color, derived from carbonized bananas, enhances the fragrance, and ash is less noticeable even after use. This product gently weaves the story of “circularity” into its compact design. It won the [Social Products* Award 2026]. [About the BANANA BLACK Series] [BANANA BLACK] is an upcycled product series born from the collaboration between [Mottainai Banana Charcoal], produced by Dole Co., Ltd., and FOOD STONE’s circular material development technology. Bananas that were discarded as substandard at production sites in the Philippines were carbonized, and this material was repurposed to create products with a texture reminiscent of stone. The white marble-like patterns floating within the jet-black surface are a natural design created by the ash content. Through scents, plants, and the small gestures of daily life, it quietly reflects the beauty of black and the spirit of circularity. 「BANANA BLACK」は、株式会社ドールが手がける「もったいないバナナ炭」と、FOOD STONEの循環型素材開発技術が出会って生まれたアップサイクルプロダクトシリーズです。
フィリピンの生産地で規格外として廃棄されていたバナナを炭化し、その素材を活かして、まるで石のような質感をもつプロダクトへと再構成しました。
漆黒の中に浮かぶ白いマーブル模様は、天然灰分による自然の意匠。香りや植物、日々の小さな所作のなかに、黒の美しさと循環の精神を静かに映し出します。
