Description
| SG Wonder zone's general catalog ⇒ Click here A chasen is a traditional bamboo tool used in the tea ceremony to mix and serve matcha and hot water evenly. It is made of thinly split bamboo (mainly Awadake), assembled into a conical shape, and woven together to create a fine froth that makes Matcha taste mellow. The number of tips and the type of bamboo (white bamboo, sooty bamboo, black bamboo, etc.) vary depending on the school. With the recent matcha boom in Japan, these products are in high demand both domestically and from inbound customers such as souvenir shops and ryokan (Japanese-style inns). For beginners, we especially recommend the easy-to-handle "80-piece" and "100-piece" models. *Tips to make it last longer*. Before use: Soak the tip of the whisk in hot water to soften it, so that the tip will not break easily. After use: After washing with water, dry it on a special stand called "Chasenashi" to keep its shape and to make it last longer.
