| This basket bag is a traditional handicraft of Tuganan village in Bali, Indonesia. Skilled craftsmen carefully weave the ata, a plant in the fern family. Because of the many processes involved, it takes more than one month to make one bag. Because of this, they are very durable and are said to last a lifetime if used carefully. This is an ata basket bag with a woven V-shaped pattern. It is tightly woven and does not lose its shape. The handle is made of cowhide, which is comfortable to hold in the hand. We recommend wearing it with a yukata (light cotton kimono) or for a short outing. |
