| Miyama (miyama.) neco mini plate Tabby Cat The [neco mini plate] was created to share the feeling of “That looks just like my cat!” with fellow cat lovers. It was designed by a cat-loving developer from a perspective unique to cat lovers. The natural color tones are reminiscent of real cat fur. We’ve struck the perfect balance—not too realistic, not too cute—creating a versatile design that blends seamlessly with your existing tableware. Inspired by real cat fur colors, the collection features four designs: black cat, brown tabby, Russian Blue, and brown-and-white tabby. Furthermore, to emphasize their lifelike quality, we deliberately avoided perfect bilateral symmetry; upon closer inspection, you’ll notice a very slight asymmetry—a key detail we took great care to include. Though the difference is barely noticeable at first glance, this subtle touch creates a gentle, natural expression. This effect was made possible by the [slip casting] technique—a specialty of Miyama—where a mud-like clay mixture is poured into a mold. 猫好きのみなさんと、「うちのコに似てる！」という気持ちを分かち合いたくて生まれた「neco mini plate」。
猫好きの開発担当が「猫好きならでは」の目線でつくりました。
実際の猫の毛色を思わせるような、自然な色合い。
リアルすぎず、かわいらしすぎない、ちょうどいい塩梅で、お手持ちのうつわともすんなり馴染む、使いやすい雰囲気に仕上げました。
実際の猫の毛色をイメージして、くろねこ、茶とら、ロシアンブルー、キジトラの4種類の猫を表現しています。
また、生き物らしさを大切に、あえてきっちり左右対称にせず、よく見るとほんの少しだけ左右非対称なのもこだわりのポイント。
ぱっと見では気づかないほどの違いですが、そのわずかな工夫が、やさしく自然な表情を生み出しています。
深山が得意とする、型に泥状の土を流し込む「鋳込み成形」だからこそ実現できたものです。
