Description
| [Important] This product may exhibit "Gohon-de," a phenomenon in which iron contained in the clay body or slip reacts during firing, appearing as pale red or pink spots. The location, shade, and size of these spots vary from piece to piece. The soft texture unique to “Konihiki” pottery harmonizes with delicate, hand-painted-style designs, adding a gentle touch of color to your dining table. The dainty floral patterns, which are neither too bold nor too subtle, complement both Japanese and Western cuisine, making these pieces the natural choice for everyday use. This series includes side plates, bowls, and small serving bowls, allowing you to build a collection tailored to your needs. *Since moisture can easily seep into the craquelure, please be careful of stains when first using the pieces. *As the designs are hand-painted, each piece is unique. [Before Purchasing] Due to the ceramic production process, the following variations may occur. As this is part of the charm of ceramics, we hope you will appreciate these variations as part of the piece’s unique character and texture. Please note that these are not defects; we kindly ask for your understanding before purchasing. 1. Hand-painted—Since each pattern is hand-painted by an artisan, there may be slight variations compared to the images. 2. Color Variations—Depending on the nature of the glaze and the degree of firing, there may be differences in shade compared to the images. Additionally, scorching or glaze drips may occur. 3. Craquelure—After firing, small cracks may appear on the surface of the glaze. This is an intentional design feature and does not constitute a defect. 4. Black Spots --- Black spots may appear on the surface due to iron particles. 5. Pinholes --- Due to the nature of the glaze and clay, tiny holes measuring a few millimeters may be visible. |
