インドと言えばあれ!!と誰もが想像する蛇使い。蛇をカゴの中に入れてピーヒョロとこの笛を吹くと蛇が顔を出してくれるあの芸。実は動物保護の名目でインドでも絶滅寸前！ たまーーに、繁華街で観光客の外人相手に小銭をせしめたりしていますが消えていくのも時間の問題かもしれません。
■インドクオリティ品です
こちらのプーンギーは、かなりの現地クオリティ品となります。試してみる場合や、実用を伴わないインテリア用などには安価で良いかと思います。
しかし、きちんと楽器として継続的に使うには、破損もしやすい為オススメしておりません。
楽器としては■プーンギー[蛇使いの笛]の品がクオリティの面でもオススメです。
■レア品が輸入できました！
そんなインドの蛇使いが使う蛇使い用の笛なんて、いくらなんでもそんなの輸入できないだろう…と思っていたのですが、ありました!! 甲高く、いまいちな出の悪い音もそのまんま。一生懸命息を吹き込まないと音が出ないので、蛇使いはただ座っているだけでなく結構な重労働なんだって感じることができます。胴体はココナッツ、吹き口と指の穴の部分は木でできています。
