Notes on Tochigi Leather “Belly”

This product is made using Tochigi Leather “Belly.”
“Belly” refers to the belly area.
We use leather from the belly of the cow, and its most distinctive feature is its [abundant wrinkles].
To further highlight this characteristic, we have dyed it using aniline dye.

This dyeing method creates a translucent finish that accentuates the leather’s natural wrinkles.
As a result, there may be slight color variations in the finished product, and scars or moles (black spots) from when the cow was alive may remain visible.
These bloodlines and skin wrinkles are natural characteristics of genuine leather.
These characteristics are particularly noticeable in lighter colors.
We would appreciate it if you could view these as characteristics of “berry leather.”

While we remove items with particularly prominent features during our manufacturing inspection, most items are shipped as acceptable products.
