This teapot features a round stainless-steel strainer; its small strainer surface area makes it easy to remove tea stains with a sponge. It is a versatile teapot suitable for a wide variety of tea leaves.

Yokkaichi Banko-yaki is one of Japan’s leading production centers for teapots* and earthenware pots, and its unglazed teapots—fired without glaze on the interior—rank alongside Tokoname-yaki as one of the two major production centers. A key feature of unglazed earthenware teapots is that the raw clay body is fired as-is; the iron content in the clay is said to complement the components in tea, resulting in a smoother, more delicious brew.

[Stainless Steel Round Mesh / Casting Method]

[Banko-yaki]
Banko-yaki is a traditional pottery style produced in the Yokkaichi area of Mie Prefecture, with a history dating back to the Edo period.

Banko-yaki teapots retain heat well while remaining easy to hold, making them ideal for everyday use.
It is said that the iron content in the material interacts well with the components in the tea, resulting in a smoother, more delicious brew.

The understated elegance born of traditional craftsmanship blends naturally not only with traditional Japanese spaces but also with modern interiors. It is a delightful item not only for your own home but also as a gift for tea lovers.
