Description
| *About kad Terra The concept is [everyday tableware, simple tableware that can be used with affection for many years]. The linear, angular forms are both rugged and elegant. *What Is Hasami-yaki? Hasami-yaki is a traditional ceramic craft that has been passed down in Hasami Town, Nagasaki Prefecture, since the Keichō era. Located adjacent to Arita Town—a region famous for its pottery—it uses the same porcelain stone from the Amakusa Peninsula in Kumamoto Prefecture as Arita-yaki. Another major characteristic of Hasami-yaki is its division of labor in the production process. Specialized artisans handle each stage, and by shaping the clay using molds, they create tableware of consistent quality that is easy to use at the daily dinner table. The combination of the artisans’ proven skills and experience results in durable, beautiful tableware that blends naturally into everyday life. This pottery is versatile and can be used for everything from daily use to gifts. |
