| *God of Wealth* Kubera Kubera is a guardian of the gods’ treasures, much like a treasurer. He is regarded as the king who leads the Yakṣa (Yasha) clan, which is often depicted as temple gatekeepers or attendants. True to the Yakṣa tradition, he is portrayed with a plump physique and a large belly, and is said to manage gold, silver, and other treasures in the underworld. Additionally, he is sometimes depicted with a mongoose as a companion or mount. This is said to symbolize the mongoose—a natural predator of snakes—warding off evil, or Kubera’s reign as the guardian of the earthly realm in opposition to the Nagas, the guardians of the waters. Since Kubera is tasked with accumulating, properly managing, and protecting wealth, he is deeply revered by merchants and families involved in finance, and is cherished alongside the wealth-generating power of the goddess Lakshmi. クベーラは神々の財宝を護る、金庫番のような存在。よく寺院の門番や脇侍としても造像されるヤクシャ（夜叉）族を率いる、王とされています。ヤクシャらしく大きなお腹を持つ豊満な体型で表され、地底の世界で金銀財宝を管理しているとされます。
また、持ち物や乗り物としてマングースが見られる場合がありますが、これは蛇の天敵であるマングースが邪悪なものを退けること、または水辺の守護神であるナーガに対抗して、地界の守護神として君臨することなどを象徴していると言われます。
