Description
| [What is Turkish Nabeshima?] Iznik pottery, which originated in the Ottoman Empire from the mid-16th century to the late 18th century. It produced magnificent tiles that adorned mosques and royal palaces—reaching its peak in the 16th century—as well as tableware used for royal ceremonies. However, production of Iznik pottery declined from the late 17th century onward, and since the production site remained unknown until recently, it has been referred to as “elusive pottery.” [What is “Rula”?] It means “tulip” in Persian. In Turkey, the birthplace of the tulip, it is beloved by the people much like Japan’s cherry blossoms. This mysterious, fantastical flower—a flower within a flower—holds a magical allure. This mug is appealing for its generous size, perfect for enjoying café au lait or coffee. *It will be packaged in a special gift box. *As this item is made to order, please check the delivery time on a case-by-case basis. |

*Due to the nature of overglaze decoration, the red or gold color may chip or wear off due to heavy rubbing or scrubbing.
*Small black dots (iron particles) may be visible on the surface; these are a result of the manufacturing process and do not indicate a defect. *Since each piece is finished by hand, every item has a unique appearance. *Each piece varies in terms of glaze application, color unevenness, shades, and spots, resulting in individual differences. *Scratches may occur when items are stacked, and strong friction from metal cutlery may leave black scratch marks. *Please refrain from returning or exchanging items based solely on differences in appearance or color. *The color may appear different from the actual product depending on your monitor. |
