| These sencha cups from the [Ikkanjin] series are hand-painted one by one by artisans at the Hayashi Kuro Kiln. “Ikkanjin” is a traditional design featuring a small Chinese child peering into a well, depicted on the rim of the cup. Also known as “Peering into the Well,” its charm lies in the adorable figure perched daintily on the rim. It can be used not only for sencha but also as a versatile cup for coffee and other beverages, as well as a dessert cup for serving ice cream or anmitsu.
