| Shinzan Kiln Yamatsu: Spring Flowers—Shiromori Sencha: Violet The patterns on the Shiromori copperplate paper stand out with a lustrous sheen, creating a beautiful contrast with the fired surface of the white porcelain bisque in this series. The plump, round shape of the tea bowl is pure white yet elegant. The gold crystals around the rim enhance its charm. With its slightly raised “Shiromori Copperplate” pattern and the subtle shimmer of the copperplate paper design, this is a tea ware series that evokes the feeling of a spring breeze and is perfect for everyday use. Featuring spring flowers that evoke the feeling of a spring stroll— violets, chive blossoms, and the three-leafed arrowhead— this auspicious design resembles a “komon” pattern, with the same geometric motifs repeating in the same direction. *The surface (patterned area) is unglazed bisque, so while the patterned area feels smooth, it has a slightly rough texture. When drying after washing, gently blot with a cloth to prevent lint from sticking. Use the microwave only for warming. Dishwasher safe.
