| This is a marquetry necklace. It is crafted from ancient Japanese zelkova wood—dating back approximately 2,700 years—unearthed from the Mototakayugino-ki archaeological site in Tottori City*. This collection is centered around this rare wood, which embodies the passage of eternal time. The deep hues and textures nurtured during its long slumber seem to encapsulate time itself. We engage with the raw material—much like an unpolished gemstone yet to unleash its brilliance—carefully discerning the unique character of each piece and meticulously polishing it. Furthermore, by layering carefully selected pieces of wood, different eras of time quietly intersect, creating expressions of profound depth. We have sublimated the flow of time—stretching from the past to the present—into refined forms. The unique grain and texture of each piece are a testament to its singularity.
