Description
| [Tableware, Japanese Tableware, Sashimi Bowls, Stylish, Commercial-Grade, Sashimi Plates, Sashimi Dishes, Made in Japan] A “Tonsui” is a small bowl with a handle, while the handle-less version, called “Gyokuwari,” is used for cracking eggs for sukiyaki, serving portions of hot pot dishes, or holding tempura dipping sauce. The Gyokuwari can also be used as a general-purpose small bowl. “Reinforced clay” is created by adding proprietary reinforcing particles to pottery or porcelain clay. The raw materials are finely ground to increase density and remove large particles that could cause breakage. Additionally, the firing process is adjusted to match the expansion rates of the clay body and the glaze. It has 1.5 to 2 times the flexural strength of ordinary clay. |
