| [Tableware, Japanese Tableware, Renge, Stylish, Commercial-Grade, Renge, Spoon, Made in Japan] The name “renge” comes from the spoon’s shape, which resembles a single lotus petal; it was originally called “chiri-renge,” which was later shortened to “renge.” Reinforced porcelain is made by adding a large amount of alumina to the porcelain clay and finely grinding the raw materials to remove large particles that could cause breakage. Furthermore, by adjusting the expansion rates of the body and glaze and firing at high temperatures, the porcelain is fired to a much denser state. It has two to three times the flexural strength of standard porcelain. |

れんげの名前の由来は匙の形が蓮の花びら一片に似ていることから、ちりれんげになり、それが略されて、れんげになりました。
強化磁器とは、磁器土に、沢山のアルミナを添加、原料を細かく粉砕して破壊源となる大きな粒子を取り除いています。また、生地と釉薬の膨張率を調整、高温で焼成する事により、更に焼締ております。一般の磁器よりも2倍〜3倍の抗折強度があります。
