Description
| A square-shaped bag made from vintage fabrics, such as skirts, worn by women in Gujarat. Both the embroidery patterns and the base fabric colors are all assorted, and the piping and lining colors are chosen to complement the main vintage fabric. With a spacious design that can hold an A4-sized item, it’s perfect not only for everyday use but also for a one-night trip. Mirror Work Embroidery Mirror work embroidery is characterized by its colorful, intricate stitching and sparkling mirrors. The [Lavari tribe] in the western Indian state of Gujarat and the [Banjara tribe] in the southern Indian state of Karnataka are particularly renowned for this craft. It is said that the power residing in a person’s gaze can bring misfortune, so the mirror pieces are meant to protect the wearer from the evil eye. Additionally, mirror work embroidery is sometimes applied to children’s clothing and bridal attire to shield the wearer from jealousy and envy directed at cute or beautiful things. |

*Photographs are for illustrative purposes only. Patterns and colors may differ from those in the photos.
*Size may vary slightly. *Some of the old fabrics are assorted and may not have mirror embroidery. *Because we use old cloth that has been used for a long time, you may find original stains, fading, holes, tears, and fraying. Please understand that this is also a characteristic of old cloth, so please purchase with this in mind. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about or displeased with stains. *Size may vary slightly. *Because it is an overseas product, there are cases where the zipper does not move smoothly when opening and closing. In addition, there is a rough part in the making. Please understand this in advance. Please understand it as a texture. |
