Description
| [New Arrival] An ultra-thin paper specifically designed for handwriting FUJI ROKKA (Fuji Rokka) Light/Ultra-Thin *We have added the “Light/Ultra-Thin” variant—designed primarily for handwriting while retaining the same paper quality— to the [FUJI ROKKA] washi series, a revamped version of our traditional [printable calligraphy paper]. FUJI ROKKA Light/Ultra-Thin is a calligraphy paper that resists bleeding, manufactured by Yamakano Paper in Minobu Town, Yamanashi Prefecture*. Drawing on calligraphy paper manufacturing techniques, it achieves a balance between softness and firmness, offering a lightweight, translucent feel and a high-quality texture reminiscent of kana writing paper. Since guides or sample characters placed underneath are visible through the paper, it is well-suited for creating works such as kana writing, penmanship, and calligraphy. It features the unique translucency characteristic of washi—unlike Western paper—and is easy to use with a variety of writing instruments. [White] A soft white with a natural tone that allows ink colors to show through clearly. Its translucency makes it ideal for practicing with guides or ruled lines placed underneath. FUJI ROKKA is a collaborative product developed by Yamagata Paper and WACCA JAPAN. [Writing Suitability] Thanks to its anti-bleed coating, it can be written on with fountain pen ink*, glass pens*, and ink solutions. Even though it is ultra-thin, it resists ink bleeding through to the back and dries quickly. Because it is slightly translucent, it is also suitable for practicing with guide lines or sample characters placed underneath. [Printing] Due to its ultra-thin paper stock, it is less suitable for printing than the standard type, and depending on the printer model, issues such as paper jams may occur; therefore, we recommend using it for handwriting. If printing, be sure to perform a test print and use manual feed. [Recommended Uses] *Practicing kana writing and calligraphy *Penmanship and tracing exercises *Sketching and casual artwork *Handwritten menus and greeting cards |
