Notes

Some trading conditions may be applicable only in Japan.

*Due to the nature of the kiln-change glaze, the finish is not uniform. Depending on the glaze’s behavior, variations in color intensity, uneven coloring, and glaze runs may occur, resulting in individual differences in the patterns and color variations. We appreciate your understanding.
*Due to the nature of pottery, please be aware that the sides may have iron particles (black spots), pinholes (holes resembling needle pricks), or small imperfections; the surface is not completely smooth like that of plastic products.

 [About Craquelure]
You may notice fine, crack-like lines on the glassy interior of the piece. This is a technique called “craquelure,” which has long been cherished as one of the distinctive and fascinating characteristics of glazed pottery.
Craquelure is intentionally created after firing, based on the difference in contraction rates between the glaze and the clay body during cooling. Although it may appear to be cracking at first glance, the entire piece is not actually cracked, so you can use it without any issues.
Additionally, the pattern of craquelure varies from piece to piece depending on factors such as the piece’s position in the kiln and differences in firing temperature.
Some pieces may have extensive craquelure, while others may have very little.
The pattern may become more pronounced with use, but this is a natural phenomenon unique to ceramics.
Please enjoy the texture created by clay, fire, and nature.
