Description
| Inspired by the [Goroku Bowl] of lacquerware, the [Sora Don] features a dignified and elegant design. Its striking form, which makes full use of the high foot, elegantly highlights the bowl and adds a touch of drama to your everyday meals. This is an original product from Ishimaru Ceramics, crafted as a Hasami-yaki rice bowl based on a traditional shape. With a generous capacity of approximately 900 ml, it’s perfect for noodle dishes like ramen, udon, and soba, as well as rice bowl dishes such as seafood donburi, tempura donburi, and oyakodon. It’s also recommended as a serving bowl for hearty soups, simmered dishes, and salads. There are three designs available: the vibrant [Fukumai], the auspicious [Hōmon], and the clean-lined [Jukusa]. The blue-and-white patterns are carefully hand-painted one by one by skilled artisans. The subtle variations in brushstroke intensity and the slight waver of the lines—characteristic of handcrafted work—create a rich, unique character in each piece. While evoking a sense of tradition, these pieces easily blend into modern dining tables. They are ideal not only for everyday use but also for entertaining guests or as gifts. *Since each piece is hand-painted, there may be individual variations in the intensity of the design, the thickness of the lines, and the overall finish. Please enjoy these as unique characteristics of handcrafted work.
