Description
| A set of two shimenawa decorations, carefully crafted in Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture. Made from straw produced in Japan, their beautiful bluish hue adds a dignified charm to any space. Since ancient times, shimenawa have been cherished as auspicious items used to purify sacred spaces and welcome the Toshigami (New Year deity). These decorations, which carry on the traditional forms passed down in Niigata, will purify and beautifully adorn your entranceway during the New Year. Displaying the two side by side creates an even more festive atmosphere, making this a piece into which you can pour your prayers for peace and good fortune in the new year. |
