Description
| *What is [Tosa Sakura]? Tosa Sakura is a rare limestone containing coral fossils dating back 423 million years (the Silurian Period of the Paleozoic Era). Tosa Sakura is mined near the summit of Mount Yokokura. Since parts of Shikoku, including Kochi Prefecture, were located near the equator and submerged underwater in ancient times, the rock contains fossils of honeycomb coral, chain coral, and sea lilies. It was called the “Sakura” stone because its surface had a pale pink hue. Sakamoto Ryoma, who said, “I’m going to see the cherry blossoms,” and then headed straight for Kyoto, changed the course of Japanese history. This stone from Tosa truly evokes the spirit of Ryoma. *What is a [Magatama]? Magatama have existed for over 2,000 years and are believed to ward off disasters and bad luck. They help cut off bad luck and make it easier to attract good fortune. [About Stone Club] [Stone Club] is a natural stone wholesaler with a physical store in *Hakurō-chō, Osaka. We handle design and manufacturing at our own factories in Japan and overseas, and carry a wide selection of natural stones carefully selected locally. With a proven track record of sales, we have received high praise from many customers for our quality, product selection, and staff service. |
