Description
| *What is [Suwa Teppei Andesite]? It is a pyroxene andesite formed by magmatic activity in the shallow subsurface 25 million years ago, mined in the Suwa*Saku region of Nagano Prefecture. It has a tendency to split into 2–3 cm-thick slabs (tabular jointing) and was used as a substitute for roof tiles during the Edo period. Because it is more durable than traditional roof tiles, it is highly valued in regions with heavy snowfall. Suwa City was named after the Suwa clan, a family of military commanders who ruled the area in the Middle Ages. Known for its beautiful natural scenery, including Lake Suwa, it is often called the “Switzerland of the East.” *What is a [Magatama]? Magatama have existed for over 2,000 years and are believed to ward off disasters and bad luck. They are said to cut off bad luck and make it easier to attract good fortune. [About Stone Club] [Stone Club] is a natural stone wholesaler with a physical store in *Hakuro-cho, Osaka. We handle product design and manufacturing at our own factories in Japan and overseas, and carry a wide selection of natural stones carefully selected locally. With a proven track record of sales, we have received high praise from many customers for our quality, product selection, and staff service. |
