Resistant to weathering, its hardness and lustrous beauty have long captivated people. Kizan Black Stone boasts a beautiful surface as smooth as silk. No other granite like this is found in the Hokuriku region, highlighting just how unique Fukushima’s geology is. Its main components are quartz, feldspar, and biotite; one of its charms is that when exposed to sunlight, the sparkling biotite appears to float on the stone’s surface. Although there are individual variations, it is recognized for emitting faint negative ions and producing a hormetic effect. 北陸では他にこのような花崗岩は産出されず、福島の地質がいかに特別であることがわかります。
石英と長石と黒雲母が主成分で、日光を浴びるとキラキラした黒雲母が、石の表面に浮くように見えるのも魅力のひとつです。
個体差はありますが、微弱なマイナスイオンとホルミシス効果が認められます。
