DESIGN - A writing instrument for writing, with nothing superfluous removed. By cutting down unnecessary things for writing to the utmost limit, we have created a simple design that can be used by anyone, anywhere. SHARPENER - A unique lead sharpener developed in 1960. The Hokusay Pencil's lead sharpener, which is indispensable for [pencils for adults], does not use a blade, but uses a uniquely shaped plate spring to sharpen the lead from four directions, so that it can be sharpened by simply turning it left and right without making a single rotation. |

BODY−使い込むほど手になじむ、味わいのある木軸。
アメリカ産高級インセンスシダー材の綺麗な木目を生かした木目仕上げは温もりと、どこか懐かしい癒しを感じさせます
DESIGN−余分な物はあえて取り除いた、書く為の筆記具。
書く事に不必要な物を極限まで削り落とす事で、使う人・場所を選ばない、シンプルデザインになりました。
SHARPENER−昭和35年に開発した独自の芯削り器。
『大人の鉛筆』に欠かせない、北星鉛筆の芯削りは刃は使わず、独特な形の板バネを使い、芯を4方向から削るため、1回転させなくても左右に回すだけで削れる独自の機構を採用しています。
