Description
| Kutani-yaki, a traditional craft recognized by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, celebrates 360 years since the opening of the Kutani kiln. Kutani-yaki was exhibited at the Paris World Exposition and became famous throughout the world as Japan*Kutani, and has been collected by famous museums around the world, including the British Museum and the Louvre. This pattern is painted in tinted blue. The design is written on the unglazed base with cobalt-containing gosu, glazed, and finished by changing the color to indigo in the main kiln. |
