Description
Edo faceting, a traditional handicraft designated by the government, is a traditional handicraft of downtown Tokyo that has continued since the Edo period. The glass is melted at 1,350 degrees Celsius, and then skillfully turned into clear glass. Edo faceting craftsmen with skillful techniques carefully cut (shave) the glass one by one. The cutting process results in traditional patterns and flower faceting designs. |
