Description
| Won the Grand Prize at the Fukuoka Prefecture Flower Mat Fair in 2006. Kakegawa-ori is a traditional weaving technique from the Chikugo region of Kyushu. It is popular for its beautiful, sophisticated, and modern design with alternating weaves of large and small eyes. In addition, carefully selected, thick and long rushes of high quality are densely woven to make it strong and durable, and it also provides comfortable cushioning and volume for bare feet. The rushes are made in Japan (Kyushu). Each strand is thick, with a thick outer skin and fine fibers, making it resilient and durable. Rigusa has a natural purifying effect on the air and regulates humidity. It is also stain-resistant, and as it is used, it changes to a golden color, giving it a distinctive flavor. The rush grass is treated with Aomori Hiba (Aomori Hiba). (Antibacterial and deodorizing effect) |
