Description
| [Ethical (regional)] Delicate patterns are produced using a technique called Fukuro-ori, which has a large number of warp threads. The folding is so complicated that it will break if long rushes are not used. The dense warp makes it firm and tear-resistant. Domestic rushes (from Kyushu) are used. Each strand is thick, with a thick outer skin and fine fibers, making it resilient and durable. Rigusa has a natural purifying effect on the air and regulates humidity. It is also stain-resistant, and as it is used, it changes to a golden color, giving it a distinctive flavor. The rush grass is treated with Aomori Hiba (Aomori Hiba).
