[About Ruyuzu Glass] Ruyuzu glass is made from reused glass and is generally referred to as “recycled glass” or “regenerated glass.” Since it is made by recycling glass that was once discarded or deemed unnecessary, it is gaining attention as part of efforts toward an environmentally friendly, sustainable society. Each Ruz Glass product is handmade by artisans. Using a technique called “mold-blown glassmaking”—where molten glass from the furnace is scooped up with a blowpipe and shaped by blowing air into a mold—no two pieces are exactly alike, even within the same series of molds. You may notice glass flow marks, tiny air bubbles, or slight bulges around the rim; these are caused by the glass flowing during heat treatment after it is cut from the blowing rod, and they are characteristic features of blown glass. 【リューズガラスについて】
リューズガラスとは再利用されたガラスのことで、一般的には「リサイクルガラス」や「再生ガラス」とも呼ばれています。
一度は捨てられたり不要になったガラスをリサイクルして使っているため、環境にやさしいサスティナブル（ Sustainable ＝持続可能）な社会への取り組みとしても注目されています。
リューズガラス製品は一つひとつが職人たちの手によるハンドメイド。
炉（ろ）で溶かしたガラスを竿（さお）ですくい取り、型の中で息を吹き込みながら作る「型吹き成形」という技法で、たとえ同じ型のシリーズであっても、全く同じ仕上がりになるということはありません。
ガラスの流れや小さな気泡、口の部分に盛り上がった箇所などがあったりしますが、これは吹き竿からガラスをカットした後、熱処理した時にガラスが流れてできるもので、これもまた吹きガラスの特徴です。
ハンドメイドならではの、ガラス表面に生まれるわずかな“しわ”や小さな気泡、繊細な表情の違いなどをお楽しみください。
