[One year after Finding*Nemo, Dory suddenly regains her childhood memories. Dory has two parents, Charlie and Jenny, who have been separated from her. In order to find her parents, whose whereabouts are unknown, Dory sets out for the California ocean with Nemo and Marlin. Crush, a turtle, guides them across the distant ocean. Riding on his back, they ran through at breakneck speed, and in no time at all they were in California. On their journey, they encountered various dangers, including a giant squid, but they eventually arrived at the California Marine Biological Aquarium. At the California Marine Life Science Aquarium, Dory gets separated from Nemo and Marlin. Dory, with the help of Hank the octopus, Bailey the beluga whale, Destiny the whale shark, and others, heads for the open ocean where her parents are. However, there is no sign of her parents, and Dory is at a loss. Dory almost gives up, but then she remembers her parents' words, "Just keep swimming," and keeps going. As Dory overcomes her difficulties, she eventually rediscovers the friendship of her fellow seafarers and the love of her family. |

「ファインディング・二モ」から1年後、ある日ドリーは突然子供の頃の記憶を取り戻す。
ドリーには離れ離れになった両親チャーリーとジェニーがいるのだった。
はっきりとは居場所が分からないドリーの両親を探すためドリーはニモやマーリンと一緒にカリフォルニアの海を目指す。
遠い海を渡るために彼らを誘導してくれたのは亀のクラッシュ。背中に乗って猛スピードで駆け抜けると、そこはあっという間にカリフォルニアだった。
旅の途中、巨大イカに遭遇したりと様々な危険と立ちはだかるが、やがて彼らはカリフォルニア海洋生物学水族館へとたどり着く。
カリフォルニア海洋生物学水族館でドリーはニモやマーリンとはぐれてしまう。
それでもドリーはタコのハンク、シロイルカのベイリー、ジンベエザメのデスティニーなどの力を借りて両親のいるオープンオーシャンを目指す。
しかしそこにはいるはずの両親の姿はなく、ドリーは途方に暮れてしまう。
そこでドリーは一度は諦めそうになるものの「とにかく泳ぎ続けるんだ」という両親の言葉を思い出して前進する。
困難を乗り越えていくうちにやがてドリーは海の仲間たちの友情、そして家族の愛情を再認識するのだった。
