Description
The slight aroma of coffee comes from coffee grounds. Sustainable coffee cups and saucers made from discarded coffee grounds. Coffee grounds are produced in large quantities every day from restaurants and cafes. When designer Julian Lechner was studying product design in Italy, he decided to create a sustainable coffee cup and saucer using coffee grounds, which are usually consumed in this country, In this country, where coffee is often consumed on a daily basis, he noticed that all the coffee grounds after brewing were simply thrown away as garbage. I noticed that all the coffee grounds were simply thrown away as garbage. I started to think about how to recycle them every time I drink coffee, so I decided to create this product called "KAFFEE FORM". After collecting the coffee grounds, we dried them for a day in two workshops in Germany, then melted them into pellets under pressure and formed them into cups and saucers by injection. The fact that physically challenged people are involved in the final packaging and shipping process also reflects his idea of connecting with people from different cultural backgrounds. |
