Description
| [Ethical (regional)] This rug expresses the design of Kumiko, a traditional craft, using rush grass. The outer surface is made of Japanese rushes (produced in Kyushu). Each strand of domestic rush grass is thicker and has a thicker outer skin and finer fibers, making it more resilient and durable. Japanese rushes naturally purify the air and regulate humidity. The backing is made of non-woven fabric with a non-slip finish, making it suitable for wooden flooring as well. It can also be used as a hot carpet cover. The surface of the rush grass is treated with natural Aomori cypress (antibacterial*odor control). Hiba oil extracted from hiba trees in Aomori Prefecture is processed into materials and products using the manufacturer's proprietary technology. [Hiba oil contains hinokitiol, a natural substance with extremely high antibacterial properties, and is being studied for use in various fields, including medicine and food. *Because these are natural materials and craftsmen process them one by one by hand, there may be slight variations in shape and size from those shown on the label.
