| 7-ply stitched together kaya-fabric dish towel - flower yellow Cleaning cloth - flower yellow Kaya-net cloth is carefully woven in Nara Prefecture, the only remaining mosquito net production area in Japan, and embroidered and printed in Wakayama Prefecture. At first, the cloth is stiff and taut because of the glue, but when the glue is removed with lukewarm water or hot water, the cloth shrinks surprisingly. The result is a soft, fluffy, and supple texture. It also has excellent water absorbency (1.3 times that of cotton), dries quickly, and is durable. Cleaning cloth - flower yellow
日本で唯一残っている蚊帳(かや)産地奈良県で時間をかけて丁寧に織られた蚊帳生地の布巾に、和歌山県で刺繍やプリントを施した「かや生地ふきん」。
最初は糊がついている為、硬くピンと張った状態ですが、ぬるま湯またはお水で糊を落としていただきますと驚くほど収縮します。
その分、柔らかくふんわり、そして、しなやかな風合いになります。吸水性も抜群(綿の1.3倍)で、乾きも早い、そして丈夫です。
