| This is "Walnut" bag. Why is persimmon juice dyeing persimmon itself has insecticidal and mildew-proof effect. The vine of mountain grapes will not grow moldy like fibers like bamboo, but when stored in places with high humidity, molds may adhere to the surface. Although it is expensive to prevent it, I attach the inner cloth of persimmon juice dye to almost all bags. |

胡桃の樹皮はもともと油分が多く含まれている為、山葡萄とは異なり
最初から光沢があり、軽くて最初から手に馴染むほど柔らかく安価であることが特徴です。
＜胡桃バッグができるまで＞
蔓の採取
人里離れた山奥で自生する胡桃の木から採取した樹皮を使用しています。
蔓を剥ぎ取り乾燥させて、籠の材料となるようサイズを整えていきます。
編む
職人が作った木型に合わせて、バッグの底から編んでいきます。
網目が均一にするには指先の力が強くないと綺麗に仕上げることができません。
最後に細かいケバを取り除き籠ができあがります。
内布を取り付ける
ほぼ全てのバッグは柿渋染めです。
原料は京都の老舗店から取り寄せた柿渋原液を使用しています。
なぜ、柿渋染めなのか
柿渋自体に防虫・防カビ効果があります。
山葡萄の蔓は竹のように繊維の中までカビが生えることはありませんが、湿気が多いところで保管すると
表面にカビが付着する場合があります。
それを防ぐ為に高価ではありますが、ほぼ全てのバッグに柿渋染めの内布を取り付けています。
