Description
*Included in a paulownia wood box, ideal for gift-giving [Water-based dye ink] [Dual-use cartridge*converter type] Writing distance: 75 to 125m *Yamanaka Lacquerware Maki-e Yamanaka lacquerware originated in the Tensho period (1570-1592). It was started by a woodworker who moved to Masago village, located upstream from Yamanaka Onsen (hot spring), in search of abundant wood resources. Later, in addition to the woodworking techniques, various techniques were developed, establishing the techniques and individuality that characterize Yamanaka lacquerware today. Over time, many masterpieces such as tableware decorated with gorgeous maki-e lacquer and tea ceremony utensils including jujube (tea caddy) were created, and Yamanaka lacquerware has become a traditional industry representing Ishikawa. This time, Mr. Hiroyama Taniguchi, a master of Yamanaka-nuri maki-e lacquerware, applied maki-e to the Yumegala axis. You can enjoy the gorgeous yet graceful brilliance of the maki-e on each scroll, which was carefully drawn one by one.
